I've read every single post on this thread, running the gamet of emotions.

My thought is the same as Billy's~If this info goes mainstream, imagine the JW's going d-t-d now. The WTBTS might be telling the JW's to sequester themselves from all this, but the HH will certainly be clued in, and I'm sure some of them will definitely let the HH hear of it. Perhaps if heard enough, a JW might go home and do some research afterall.

Too, can you imagine going to a meeting and hearing. "ok friends. We want to pass a resolution of 1 million dollars to be donated to the kingdom hall fund. All those in favor? People looking around like, WTF? (crickets chirping)..then after a while some who feel obligated to not go against ANY resolution or those who are heavily medicated throw up their hand. ok...Very good..Very good. All those against?" More hands go up with a look of WTF!?

I can only hope that this news goes viral and at least SOME JW's wake up from their GB induced coma and get the hell outta dodge! Especially would I love it if some of my prior close friends would leave.

I'm so thankful this brave girl stepped forward..and some people are talking about if this case gets settled out of court, etc. It will get settled only if she wants it to, and by all accounts, this isn't about money to her, so I am hoping she goes for the jugular. If it's true, she can in fact sue the WT PA later on, by God Almighty I hope she does so. Let's hope this is the first brave soul in a long line of them to bring the WTBTS to is ruin, once and for all.

Are you up and down all night?

i am - every hour or so - but last night i slept for 5 hours uninterrupted, and this despite 4 cups of coffee late afternoon.

still can't account for what was for me tantamount to a full-night's sleep .... .

do you sleep well most nights?.

For over a year, I have had really painful back problems. I have to mainly sleep on my side. I wake myself up when I have to shift sides and put the pillow under my opposite leg or in-between them, usually because my legs or shoulder will start to hurt. With every move, pain shoots through my back. Then if I have to use the bathroom, which is once or twice, I wake up again. But I always have to stretch now before I get out of bed. It is painful to do just this, but I have to, or the pain is just too unbearable. I'm starting to have cramping in my legs and feet too, and I am really starting to get scared. Criminy, I'm not even 44 yet!

I just learned of a doctor that takes walk-ins for free at a church the first Sat of the month. I am hoping to see her in July or August. I'm afraid it is affecting other parts of my body. In fact, when I was checking out Fibromyalgia to get a clearer understanding of what Tales was dealing with, I thought, omg! could this be my promblem, too? I finally went back to the chiro a few months ago, and said he was hardly touching me and that I was hypersensitive..he suggest I get an x-ray. After a massage, I ended up with bruises all across my lower back..I cried last two times I was there. The treatments were excrutiating. I never went back. I'm popping 5 Advils at a time when I do take something, but it doesn't even feel like it's reducing any inflamation at this point.

Anyway, not getting good sleep sucks. And, I am a total night person. I could be up all night and sleep all day..but work dictates otherwise

*UPDATE* Card is out of car and not only did I write VOID on the front of it, but also across the whole page, once opened. And so as not to have any confusion, I also dated it 6/10/12.

My card is in my ashtray in my car. I took it out my wallet years ago, but to be honest, my friends who signed it were some of my closest, and so I keep it.

I think it is a good idea to put VOID across it if you still have it in your wallet or car. I do have a POA somewhere, but I no longer go to the doctor (a few states away) I gave a copy to. Still an elder or friend may have a copy. Although, no one has contacted me in years, so I don't know how that could play an issue into anything now.

Hmmm. I'm going to go to my car right now and write VOID on my medical directive and then remove it from my ashtray. I'm sure I can find another place for it without it being detrimental to my health.

There's a movie, "Latter Days", that shows the struggle of a homosexual Mormon youth. It is EXCELLENT and when I first saw it, I cried. Closeted or former JW GLBT can defin relate to this film, and perhaps some who spew forth hatred should take a look, just once, to see what people unlike themselves have to deal with.

One of my bumper stickers read: "Equal Rights are NOT Special Rights." Just because we want to be treated with respect and dignity does not mean we are trying to shove an agenda down anyone's throat. Although sometimes you ask yourself~What the hell does it take to have some people actually listen and TRY to understand?

While listening to the song on the DVD, It appeared "OBEY" was sung louder, and "be blessed" was sung lower. I wanted to confirm what I heard, so I asked Danmera for her opinion. She pointed out that "OBEY" was sung on a high note, and that "listen" and "be blessed" was sung on a lower note.

I think this is on purpose. You know the GB are calculating bastards. To OBEY is better than to receive a blessing..Just my .02 tho.

I'm sure the DVD won't be pulled. How could it be since it's already been released? But I do think they will try to cover their asses once again by spewing some crap about how apostates are twisting things around, just like their father the Devil, to make the vid and the oh so beloved, God appointed GB look bad. We all know the truth...no help is needed to make THEIR vid look bad...they accomplished that ALL by themselves. Schmos...

The WTS and Same-Sex Marriage

we all know the wts position on same-sex marriage, but i thought it was interesting to see this piece on its website.

i think what intrigues me the most is that the wts approach is, as i once told the elders on my judicial committee, "inadequate, incomplete and insufficient".

the peice then goes on to give the typical fairy-tale solution to what it perceives as a problem with the experience of someone they call "nathan" and how he was able to completely change thanks to god's holy spirit working on him.

I sincerely THANK YOU, for you will never know the depths you have touched my heart and encouraged my spirit. Yesterday started out alright, but as the day went on, it turned on me and I was feeling melancholy. It doesn't help that us females have to deal with a certain time of the month the menfolk don't. Nor did it help that I was in the middle of my five day stint away from home. I am literally away from home half the month or more, due to work.

So, today is a new day, and Quendi, I started a new thread. Please feel free to now hijack it from me I again apologize..

But, so as to not totally hijack it..I need to write something gay related...hmmm

GO GAYS, LESBIANS, BI-SEXUALS, TRANSGENDERED, QUEER (and whatever the next letter of the alphabet gets added!!!!!!!!! Better?
